In the day time

This hotel in Scotland has been booked times. With round-top mountains and green hills extending in almost every direction, and stone houses dotted around, Scotland is a jewel of nature forged by ice, winds and seas over thousands of years. But Scotland is much more than beautiful landscapes: The country can be divided into 3 areas. The Highlands and Islands have mountainous landscapes and numerous bodies of fresh water, including Loch Lomond and Loch Ness, as well as little cities like Inverness and numerous islands like the Isle of Skye.

The Central Lowlands are the most densely inhabited area, and with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen located in this part of Scotland, 5-star hotels are common here. The Southern Uplands are composed of a range of hills and valleys stretching almost kilometres, home to several hotels with a spa - a relaxed option to enjoy this area. As some of the more unusual Scotland hotels, castles can be a particularly good option to enjoy a Scotland holiday in royal style.

Inverness is in a very lovely part of Scotland. The scenery is stunning! Enjoyable to walk around and lots of history to learn about. Close to other sites so a good base for doing day touring from. Once a city full of history and promising potential, Aberdeen has unfortunately become dull and extremely grey. There were few restaurants and bars to choose from as well as a severe lack in things to do during the day. There were a few museums to visit such as the maritime and tollbooth museum, but the art gallery was closed due to refurbishment plans which have already been delayed by a year. The only inspiring piece of architecture, Marischal college, was closed off to the public and its view had been blocked by a block of uninspiring office style buildings.

Union Street, the main road connecting the city, consists of an abundance of random shops, a large majority of which are kept in a bad state. It is a shame that such a city of history, located in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland has failed to celebrate its history and culture. Considering it has one of the most international universities it seems strange that the city does not want to promote itself to the abundance of those visiting and living in it every year.

As a resident of Scotland myself, I am disappointed that Aberdeen has become such a dull and uninspiring place. A pleasant hotel out in the country but within easy reach of Aberdeen.
